Macbeth & King Duncan Explanations

After reading this far, you should be able to form a picture in your mind of the characters. Think about the witches, Macbeth, Banquo, Angus, and Ross. What would they look like?

I think that Macbeth would look like Vlad III or Vlad the Impaler. Macbeth is considered as someone who is very violent and murderous. He is described similar to Vlad because they both share similar traits and personalities. During the medieval times, people would wear clothing of their own time period. Vlad is wearing a coat with buttons and a triangular hat. His hair is really long and he has a mustache. In most of Shakespeare’s’ plays, the characters wear a similar hat that Vlad wears. The silver beads wrapped around his head gives a clue as to if he is wealthy or not. Macbeth wants to be a ruler and is also really wealthy.





I think that the Burger King’s King is an appropriate picture for my character. My character is a king just like a restaurant’s mascot. The crown in the picture resembles the one placed on Duncan’s head. In the picture, the coat worn by a king resembles a similar coat that King Duncan of Scotland wears. One filled with value, wealth, and respect. The jewelry worn on the king’s hand shows that King Duncan is wealthy since he is the ruler of Scotland. Everything that the character in the picture has resembles similar aspects of Duncan’s clothing.
